MFF is an annual interrelated three workshop programme.

The first session is for selected Directors only: the Directors Workshop allows participants to improve their directing skills.

The second session is for Producers only. The Producers Coaching Programme addresses professional aspects of producing with emphasis on creative producing, marketing, funding, legal aspects, pitching, distribution, exhibition, especially within the region.

The third session is for Teams of Directors and Producers who have full access during the three to four day assemblage: the Independent Film Assembly gathering in addition to teams of Directors and Producers professional Guests who will support the teams even further.

MFF team will provide teams of Directors and Producers with an ongoing support in between sessions and in following years to enable their project to develop further and become visible.

2nd seminar: December 2012 (Producers workshop) – Tunisia
Independent Film Assembly: Spring 2013 - Jordan

• Eligible applicants must be Arabs, eligible countries are: (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria and Tunisia) in spite of their country of residence.
• Applications must comprise teams of Directors and Producers working on their first or second feature narrative film project. (The MFF team could assist individual applicants to assemble their teams).
• Teams must submit a COMPLETE FEATURE NARRATIVE SCREENPLAY.
• Directors could be Co-writers on the project or Screenwriter/ Directors.
• Script’s Rights Clearances are a prerequisite.
• Only Arabic or English submission are considered though English translation of selected projects will be required three weeks prior to the Directors Workshops.
