Over 1,700 films made available in Tunisian film clubs
A new agreement in Tunisia is to ensure support for the country’s film clubs in distributing films all over Tunisia and to encourage the formation of new film clubs, especially in existing cultural centres.
The agreement was signed on April 4 between representatives from the Tunisian French Institute (IFT), the Tunisian Federation of Film Clubs (FTCC), and the Tunisian ministry of culture.
To date, the FTCC counts eight film clubs for children and 35 film clubs for adults, of which 18 are still new.
The Tunisian ministry of culture’s cultural institute department manages 216 cultural centres in all of Tunisia’s 24 governorates, of which over 120 show films.
