20 professionals to be trained in scriptwriting and script editing techniques

Euromed Audiovisual has selected the professionals to attend its Socrates scriptwriting and script editing training initiative organised in cooperation with the French Institute in Tunis.

A total of 20 professionals will be attending the training: 10 scriptwriters and 10 aspiring script editors. Each script editor will work on rewriting a script, coached by two professional script editors: Isabelle Fauvel and Faouzi Bensaidi.

“I was extremely happy to discover so many good script editing candidates in the South Mediterranean region,” says head of studies Isabelle Fauvel. “In agreement with the European Commission, we decided to increase the number of selected script writers from six to 10 because of this enormous potential.”

This training initiative is designed to help all those people within the film industry who want or need to work with scripts and improve their script editing techniques, particularly with regards to a screenplay's development potential.
