Greenhouse documentary On the Way to School selected to participate at IDFA

Greenhouse, one of the Euromed Audiovisual projects, is announcing the participation of the documentary
On the Way to School by Orhan Eskikoy & Ozgur Dogan from Turkey at the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam (IDFA) this November.
On the Way to School film will be screened on 25 November 2008 at IDFA, the world's largest documentary film festival, in the framework of the prestigious Joris Ivens Award for best documentary over 60 minutes in length.
On the Way to School was developed with the support of Greenhouse in 2007 and thus received a development and production grant from the Sundance Documentary Fund and a post production grant from the Dutch Jan Vrijman Fund (IDFA).
Greenhouse aims to develop feature-length documentaries for the big screen. It is open to filmmakers interested in creating documentaries that communicate the filmmaker’s identity, local culture and ties to the Mediterranean region. Greenhouse has been organising during 2007 and 2008 a one-year intensive structured rounds consisting of three seminars, of four days each, targeting the most promising young documentary directors and producers from the MEDA region. Greenhouse’s third and last annual round started in September 2008. The second seminar will be held on 11-15 December 2008 in Jordan, and the third and last seminar is scheduled to take place on 19-23 March 2009.
