DOCmed is launching a new training session for producers and directors of Mediterranean documentaries

The project DOCmed, financed by the Euromed Audiovisual III Programme, is organizing the first training initiative targeting the producers, directors and documentary making of the Southern countries of the Mediterranean (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco , Palestine, Syria and Tunisia,). The training will be held between the 22nd and the 26th of March 2011. The training initiative consists of three one week sessions spread over one year.

In parallel to this first session, 10 producers and / or directors / producers residing in Lebanon and having a documentary film project, will have the opportunity to develop their ideas and to benefit, during this session, of the expertise of both Arab and European producers.

Participants from Syria and Jordan may also participate provided they themselves cover their own travel expenses, visas and accommodation costs.

Interested professionals are invited to submit their applications by February 26, 2011.

DOCmed is a training project initiated by Beirut DC (Lebanon), Eurodoc (France) and Doc in Tunis (Tunisia), in cooperation with Arte France. The training program is designed for Arab professionals operating in the field of documentaries and having a film project in development. Ten professionals will be selected every year.
