PSCAA — Reviving the lost culture of cinema in Palestine
The Palestinian Cinema Arts Association (PSCAA) invites filmmakers and producers from all the south Mediterranean countries and from over the world to the second edition of the Human Film Festival.
The film festival will take place in Ramallah, June 23rd 2012. The winning films will be shown via mobile cinema to more than 100 Palestinian cities and villages.
The festival organises a “youth filmmakers forum” addressed to Palestinian and international filmmakers.
The PSCAA was established in February 2008, and as of 2009 is an officially registered NGO in Palestine. Its main objective is to develop Palestinian cinema through three main projects; Palestinian Mobile Cinema, Annual Film Festivals and Open Air Cinemas. its vision is based on an understanding and a need to use cinema arts as a social tool for social change and development. In addition to bringing cinema to the general public, its projects focus on training youth and creating opportunities for professionals in the media arts and film production industry in Palestine.
