The Screen Institute Beirut (SIB) Film Fund offers documentary production grants to emerging and proven talents in the region. Applicants are encouraged to produce films based on stories that relate to their own realities.
Priority will be given to creative teams (directors, producers, cinematographers, editors, sound recordists & designers etc.) working together on realising their artistic visions and thereby contribute to strengthen independent filmmaking in the region.
The documentary grants enable low-budget films to be produced, finalised and distributed by offering crucial financial support, access to professional equipment, mentoring and professional advice.
“SIB film fund main objective is to provide additional support to the grantees through workshops, advising and in-kind support for both production and post-production stages. The goal is to make the films reachable to the large audience, to ensure and increase the grantees chances to finding local and international distributors to their films – and not least to help them find funding for their next projects” said Paul Baboudjian, SIB Executive Director.
More information about the guidelines and previously granted projects are available on: www.screeninstitutebeirut.org
