Submissions open for the 2012 London MENA Film Festival!

The London MENA Film Festival (LMFF) aims to be the go to place for Middle Eastern and North African cinema in London. It has three main objectives: to reach audiences who might not otherwise get the opportunity to see this cinema, thus encouraging cross-cultural dialogue and understanding, to give film-makers from the region and its diaspora a much needed platform to showcase their talents, and to connect the diaspora not only to people in the MENA region but also to each other – creating a culture of inclusivity and avoiding one of difference.

For its 2012 edition, the London MENA festival launches a call for entries.

Who can apply?

  • Film-makers from the Middle East / North Africa region
  • Film-makers from the MENA Diaspora
  • Films about the Middle East / North African region (made by anyone anywhere!)

Rules:

  • The film may be a work of fiction, documentary or an experimental film and can be either feature-length or short.
  • Film must have been completed after January 1, 2009
  • All films must have English subtitles
  • Submission deadline is June 30, 2012.

LMFF  will also be holding screenings throughout the year as part of our wider programme of events – so if you have a film that was completed before the said date (January 1, 2009) – the LMFF Team would still be very happy to hear from you!
