Submit your film to the 35th Cairo International Film Festival!

The 35th Cairo International Film Festival will be held in the Egyptian capital from November 27 to December 6, 2012. The selection committee is looking for films for its three different sections: an international competition for feature films, a competition for Arabic feature films, and a competition for films about human rights.
This year, the new Tahrir Square Prize will reward the best film promoting human rights.
Rules:
Arabic Feature Film Competition
- The film director shall be Arabic or of Arabic origin.
- The subject of the film shall be Arabic or dealing with an Arabic subject.
- Films will be screened in Arabic with English subtitles.
- Films must have been produced after December 2011.
Human Rights Film Competition
- The subject of the film should be related to human rights.
- Films must have been produced after December 2011.
Awards:
Arabic Film Competition
- Naguib Mahfouz Award for best Arabic film with a cash prize of $ 30,000, to be shared equally by the director and producer.
- Isis Prize for Best Actress
- Isis Prize for Best Actor
- The jury may award two honorary certificates or special mentions.
Human Rights Competition
- The Tahrir Square Prize for best film promoting the values of human rights, and given to the director.
- The jury may award two honorary certificates or special mentions.
FIPRESCI Award
- Given to the best film in any of the competitions of the festival, as chosen by the FIPRESCI jury
Audience Award
- All the films participating in any of the competitions of the festival are eligible for this award.
- The winning film is chosen directly by voting from the audience on the ticket to the screening.
- The prize will be awarded by one of the festival's sponsors and will be announced shortly before the festival.
