Apply for workshop on film production in the Mediterranean

In the framework of the 34th Mediterranean Film Festival of Montpellier, CINEMED, in partnership with EURODOC, is holding a two-day workshop and seminar on "Producing in the Mediterranean region" with representatives from film funds and television broadcasters that are active in supporting documentary and fiction films. The event is to take place in Montpellier, France, from October 30 to 31.

The event is designed for independent producers and directors from the Maghreb and Middle Eastern countries, as well as for French film professionals. Participants will notably take part in roundtables to discuss co-producing films from the region. 

During the event, Euromed Audiovisual and DOCmed, one of the training programmes it supports for documentary filmmakers from the South Mediterranean, will also hold a conference, to present their respective activities, as well as the 2012 DOCmed participants' documentary film projects.

A film project is eligible to participate in the event if:

• It is submitted by a French producer and production company, with a director from an Arabic-speaking country (who can reside in France) or with a project of Mediterranean interest.
• It is submitted by a producer or a production company from an Arabic-speaking country.
